Josh Franklin is an accomplished Broadway performer, singer songwriter and composer/lyricist/book writer. As a writer, Josh has written, recorded and co produced two solo albums, his self titled debut pop album in 2012 and "Spent" released in 2016. He was the composer/lyricist for the musical,  "Royal Blood" an original hip hop Vampire musical comedy based on actual events that took place in 18th century France. “Jack: A Moral Musical Tale” was co written with Linda Weiss in conjunction with the Colorado Springs Conservatory. His original musical, “The Consoling Mechanism”, a story about a girl struggling with her new reality of life in a wheelchair, will have it’s world premiere in 2021 at Virginia Rep. As an actor, his Broadway credits include The Prom, Anything Goes, Ghost, Legally Blonde and Grease. Regionally, he's performed with The Stratford Festival, Goodspeed Opera House, The Alliance Theater, St. Louis Rep and others. He received wide recognition for his first national tour roles as Bob Gaudio (Jersey Boys), Danny Zuko (Grease), Chad (All Shook Up), and Billy Crocker (Anything Goes) which garnered him a Helen Hayes Award nomination for best actor in a leading role.
